Discovering Deaf Worlds has recently returned from a yearlong international adventure, documenting over 100 deaf schools and organizations in nearly 20 different signed/spoken languages. We are now touring North America to share stories of cultural diversity, perseverance and inspiration from deaf communities around the world.

“Comprehensive educational materials defining the languages and customs of people who are deaf and hard of hearing in foreign lands and cultures are resources that teachers and students need right now. Supporting DDW is critically important, as this organization endeavors to open pathways of understanding and awareness worldwide. Documenting and sharing what DDW has learned about people who are deaf and hard of hearing in other cultures and countries will contribute greatly to the enlightenment of our global community.” |
